Mirasol modular color e-reader

Mirasol, a subsidiary of phone chipmaking giant Qualcomm, has been turning out tiny, clever colour screens for a while, but starting in the Autumn of next year, it’ll upscale its technology to 5.7-inch displays designed for e-readers. The display isn’t eInk, but a different technology that uses flexible membranes and a mirrored screen, which once set to a certain colour don’t need power to maintain. In other words, it allows for smooth colour e-reader displays without impacting battery life.

Mirasol’s screen isn’t backlit so is incredibly easy on the eye (221 dpi resolution), is full colour, and though the proof of concept here is a still, will even allow for 30Hz refresh rates – in other words, smooth video. Mirasol demoed video running smoothly on a smaller colour panel, and it was certainly watchable.

The device is ugly as all hell but the concept is amazing. You say there's a video? Can you post it?

Can anyone recommend the well-priced Remote Management & Monitoring tool for a small IT service company like mine? Does anyone use Kaseya.com or GFI.com? How do they compare to these guys I found recently: N-able N-central software remote access
? What is your best take in cost vs performance among those three? I need a good advice please... Thanks in advance!

I'm the kind of guy who passions to seek brand-new stuff. Currently I'm constructing my personalized photovoltaic panels. I am making it all alone without the assistance of my staff. I am using the internet as the only way to acheive that. I ran across a very awesome site which explains how to contruct pv panels and so on. The website explains all the steps needed for solar panel construction.

I am not sure bout how precise the data given there is. If some people over here who have experience with these works can have a look and give your feedback in the thread it will be awesome and I'd highly appreciate it, cauze I really enjoy solar panel construction.

Tnx for reading this. U people are great.

I truly believe that we have reached the point where technology has become one with our lives, and I am 99% certain that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside... I just hope that as the price of memory drops, the possibility of transferring our brains onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I daydream about every once in a while.

I truly believe that we have reached the point where technology has become one with our world, and I think it is safe to say that we have passed the point of no return in our relationship with technology.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Societal concerns aside... I just hope that as technology further develops, the possibility of downloading our brains onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's one of the things I really wish I could encounter in my lifetime.

It's interesting to see just how permeant virtual memory has become in our everyday lives. It's like everytime I turn my head, I see something with a card slot or USB jack, haha. I guess it makes sense though, considering how much more afforable memory has become as of late...

Ahhh... who am I to complain. I can't make it through a day without my R4 / R4i!

My friend and I were recently discussing about how technology has become so integrated in our day to day lives. Reading this post makes me think back to that debate we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.

I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as the price of memory decreases, the possibility of uploading our memories onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I daydream about almost every day.
